2008/05/10: Grades are done! The details: Your section attendance is 4:20 p.m. out of a max of 13 instead of 15. That is, if you had perfect attendance before, you still do. If your attendance was imperfect, you got two 'excused absenses,' you could say. Here's how the letter grade cutoffs were determined. I found the best average that could have been achieved if the best score from each column belonged to a single student, and used that as the top of the A's. 10 down from that is the top of the B's, etc. Essentially, this added an allowance for the difficulty of Exam #3; everything else had a top score at or very near the maximum possible. Then, I checked over all of the exams of all of the students just below a letter-grade cutoff, to be sure that no grade- changing mistakes were made. No one likes to be the top 'B', for instance, but as long as someone earns a 'B', there will have to be a top 'B'.
