Web Based Turnin for Eclipse Projects
Note:
Before
you turn in your first project, you must set up a Windows Account
from the
Computer Science Department.
Make sure you have logged
in at
least once
in 930GS) and remember your user name and password (the things you
needed to
log in)
- Name your Eclipse Project Correctly
(assignment 1 is used as an example, hence “hw1”)
- Naming pattern <Section
Leader last
name>_<student's last name>_<student's first name>_hw1
- For example: Valenzuela_Doe_Jane_hw1
- 1 means Project 1, Valenzuela is the section leader's last
name, and the
student's name is Jane Doe
- Renaming if
necessary:
- If you
do
not
have the correct project name, change it now with these steps
(otherwise skip)

your project name

that
follows the Naming Pattern listed above (i.e.
Valenzuela_Doe_Jane_hw1
- Export your project from
Eclipse into an archive (zip) file
- From Eclipse, right click on the
project name (as in Valenzuela_Doe_Jane_hw1)
- Select Export
> Archive file > Next

- Select the destination folder,
Desktop perhaps, and type in a file name typed just like your project
(something like Valenzuela_Doe_Jane_hw1.zip)
- Turnin your
archive (zip) file using web-based turning on lectura:
- Go to the Web-based turnin page
at https://lectura.cs.arizona.edu/turnin/
and fill in the input boxes
- Specify the folder name where
your project will be stored with the same name as your project; for
example Valenzuela_Doe_Jane_hw1)
- Select
your course number, Files to turn in as 1 and click Continue
- Browse
to
and select the zipped folder you created. Click Open
- Enter your login name and your password when
prompted
- Click Upload files
- You should see that you
uploaded
two files. If not try again. (The directory created is considered
one file, your archive file is conisidered the second.)
Note:
Subsequent
submissions will overwrite the zip file in your folder without warning.
This is
the way to submit a newer version of an earlier turnin if you need to
do that.
The existing zip file will be replaced by the newer version. You may do
this many
times. We only see the last version, and will be grading based on its
contents and date of submittal.
