Linux Fedora and Windows systems tentatively schedule for
upgrade:
Fedora Core 3 on all Linux systems.
All systems currently are running Windows XP. Linux systems running or Fedora 3.
Software History
5/06 We are planning to upgrade Linux desktops to Fedora Core 5 this summer.
The upgrades will be done in groups (RA/TA, labs, faculty, clusters, cycle servers, etc.)
so we will begin scheduling those groups soon.
A tentative schedule is as follows;
machines in GS228: Starting May 22
machines in RA/TA offices: Starting May 30
machines in faculty offices: Starting July 5
cy cluster (cy01 - cy10): Starting July 17
cl cluster (cl01 - cl32): Starting July 24
machines in
GS930: Starting
July 30
If the upgrade should be delayed or skipped for any machines, please let
us know.

12/04 Debian systems in Gould 228 replaced with Fedora 3
3/04 -8/04 Fedora Core 3 replacing RedHat v9

3/2/01 Baskerville: Netscape 4.75, jdk 1.3.0
3/1/01 Lectura: metapost 0.641, Acroread 4.05 installed.
3/1/01 Baskerville: Acroread 4.05 installed.
2/28/01 Baskerville: GNU groff 1.15, gdb 4.18, tar 1.13 installed.
