Doctoral Colloquium (C SC 695C)
Every Ph.D. student is required to take C SC695C a total of two times during their first two years of the program and receive at a minimum one pass (P) and one superior (S) grade. C SC 695C is to prepare the student to take the Ph.D. Qualifying Exam by the end of their fourth semester in the department. During the two semesters this class is to be taken, the student will conduct research. The research conducted during the two semesters will then be presented in a colloquia setting. This presentation of this research will be the students Qualifying Oral Exam. The presentation will be open to the public.
Please note that students entering the program prior to Fall 2007 may use
C SC599 (Independent Study) to fullfill this requirement.
