Alon Efrat is the Colloquium Czar, and working with him is Bongki Moon. Email Alon and/or Bongki to check dates available. Also see the CS Colloquia Google calendar which is public.
1) Alon or Bongki sends email to FAS to set up Colloquia Speaker with at least two weeks notice.
-citizenship status determines lodging.
-Suzanne makes the hotel reservation, and does the payment.
-abstract emailed to FAS as soon as it is available. It is posted to our website, and then emailed to the department.
-advertising of colloquia: 1 week prior, 1 day prior, morning of.
2) Speaker must meet with Suzanne before leaving.
-Paid expenses: travel (airfare, rental car)
-Expenses not paid: Internet service fee at hotel
-Group meals are limited to 3 people maximum (2 faculty, 1 visitor). Must have an itemized receipt, NO ALCOHOL!
-No honorarium
3) Refreshments are set up 15 minutes before the talk. There will be regular coffee, some snack item such as cookies, and possibly water.
