Biography

Carlos Rubio was born in Chihuahua City, Mexico , a Thursday morning of October, 1982. He received his B.E. in Computer Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Chihuahua II , in the Spring of 2005. After spending some time in Portland, OR, USA, he joined the Computer Science Department of The University of Texas at El Paso UTEP, located in El Paso, TX, USA, receiving a M.S. Degree in Computer Science in the Spring of 2008. He is currently a PhD student at the Department of Computer Science of The University of Arizona . His research interests focus mainly on Computer Security, Programming Languages, Formal Methods for Software Specification, and some others. During his free time, which has been dramatically decreased in the last years, he likes to travel to interesting places, read about several topics, (e.g. History, Physics, news) and visit his family back home.
