Teaching
Cochise College
While at Cochise College I taught a number of introductory classes on different CIS topics including Networking, Security, Unix, and programming. I was offered a full time position, but declined to pursue graduate studies instead. I was active in curriculum recommendations and reviewed textbooks.
At some point I will put up a list of classes and semesters here, but I can't recall which classes I taught in which semesters so that will need to wait.
Military
While in the military I taught a number of classes as well. Those courses were mostly focused on network and server administration, information security, and computer repair. I taught classes both in the US and overseas in Germany.
Other
While at the University of Arizona I spent one semester as a Teaching Assistant when I also taught an optional section for the CS3 Data Structures class. I used DsCats to demonstrate the properties of different data structures. Student feedback on this tool / teaching technique was very encouraging. I designed and implemented the final progamming assignment "Diplomacy" (based upon an assignment I had as an undergraduate with Patrick Homer) to test the ability of students to solve graph traversal (and related) problems.
I have also "guest lectured" in a number of graduate and undergraduate classes for different faculty members.
