Students must meet the following criteria at the time of application:
Be a United States citizen, permanent resident, or an alien admitted in refugee status.
Be eligible for U. S. Department of Education Federal Financial Aid and demonstrate financial need as defined by the US Department of Education rules for need-based Federal financial financial aid. Graduate students financial need is defined as financial eligibility for Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN). You must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with the Office of Student Financial Aid. Students who are Pell eligible or demonstrate great financial need are strongly encouraged to apply.
Have a minimum current high school or undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.500 or a graduate cumulative GPA of 3.000 and demonstrate academic potential or ability.
Be registered at the University of Arizona for Fall 2005 as full-time (12 units for undergraduates and 6 units for graduate students)
student in one of the Participating Majors leading to a baccalaureate, masters, or doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
