It's really tough to keep web pages up to date. I wrote a page several years ago about what I was going to do with my Amazon Associates account, but I never managed to keep it up to date. So this time I'm going to be more realistic and admit up front that this is just a snapshot in time of what's going on. When in doubt, you can always ask.

I originally thought I might get a nontrivial amount of money coming from my associates account at Amazon. That hasn't happened yet. I tend to get $40 every 3 months. Recently it's been even less.

So I'll just say that I get a little revenue from this program and I spend it on good projects. This summer I decided to throw out about $3 thousand worth of receipts for section leader food, end-of-semester parties, grading parties, etc. I didn't want to sort out the receipts and I knew the staff didn't want to process them, so I just absorbed the expense. And last spring I had prizes in my cs335 class. So I spend far more money than I receive to support my teaching. The fact that I get some income from this program makes it a little easier for me to live with not getting reimbursed for special events.
