Jigsaw Technologies: Support Engineer
Jigsaw Technologies is a subsidiary of Hexagon, a global technology group in measuring technologies. Jigsaw develops and supplies software for fleet management, the largest area of the measurement technologies market segment for machine control mining.
The position will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients worldwide. Duties include but are not limited to: troubleshooting customer issues in both software and hardware; correcting software applications; providing on-site software upgrades; and server installation. This position is the first line of response to customer inquiries. This includes being on call 24 x 7.
Skills / Requirements
B.S. Engineering or Computer Science required, as well as relevant work or internship experience. Must have strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX and relational databases along with Linux/UNIX shell scripting and networking experience. Scripting languages such as Perl and Ruby preferred. Candidate must be able to manage multiple customers. MS SQL Server, Postgresql, and wireless networking experience desirable. Knowledge of mining operations a plus. Minimal to some travel required.
