Huntsville, AL –operation in Huntsville is associated with the Department of Defense and in Missile & Rocket Research & Development

Fort Huachuca - is an US Army IMCOM (Installation Management Command Base) it is located 70 miles SE of Tucson, AZ and Approx 3 Hours SE of Phoenix, AZ. It is near the Mexican boarder and is located in the town of Sierra, Vista.

The Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Product Line specializes in developing advanced IT solutions for our government and commercial clients. ITS is seeking a Jr. Consultant at our Huntsville, AL and Fort Huachuca, AZ locations for full-time, regular work. Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. Summary: The Jr. Consultant position requires an ability to work on site with clients. The Jr. Consultant must also act as a participant in software development or systems architecture team utilizing Agile/XP methods. The Consultant shall have the ability to learn software development tools and techniques, collect requirements, and participate in design discussions. The Consultant must be able to maintain software development environments and perform basic system administration. The candidate must have the ability to quickly learn and master high-level languages such as C#, Java, Python, or C++ as needed, and have the ability learn and master system administration tasks in the Linux and Windows 2003 environment.

Required Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Experience working in a software development or systems administration team
• Basic understanding of hardware and systems software technologies including XML, Java, or C#
• Basic understanding of relational database development in one of the following: Oracle, DB2, SQLServer, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external communication
• Exposure to developing, deploying, or maintaining web applications or networks
• Ability to travel
• Sole US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret DOD clearance and must be eligible for interim clearance.

Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, INCLUDING U.S. citizenship, for access to classified information.

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with J2EE environments
• Experience with .NET environments
• Experience with Linux systems administration
• Experience with Windows2k03 systems administration
• Experience in various Software Development methodologies such as CMMI, XP, Agile, Spiral
• Familiarity with enterprise or systems architecture tools and methods such as UML, Zachman, or FEA

Critical Job Functions:

Works as a member of a software development or systems administration team, follows established guidelines for software development and systems administration. Documents work products, and presents results to the team. Maintains development and production system environments to defined standards. Researches new technologies and presents findings to assigned team. Travels to customer site to participate in software development or systems administration tasks.
