Transfer Student Requirements
We welcome transfer students into our program and try to accept as many credits as possible. To ensure consistency with our program, we require that transfer students meet the following requirements for admission:
- Minimum of 3.000 cumulative GPA at the University of Arizona
- Grades of at least B's in all computer science and math courses (calculus or higher) taken at UA or elsewhere.
- Demonstrated proficiency in theory: Students must complete at least one of the following at UA- MATH 124 or MATH 125, MATH 129 or MATH 215, MATH 243, C SC 245, or other courses as approved by the advisor.
- Demonstrated proficiency in programming: Transfer students with fewer than 24 UA units must complete C SC252 and C SC335 at UA, or other courses as approved by the advisor.
