Dorgival is a graduate student in the Ph.D. program of the Computer Science department at the University of Arizona. His current research interests include operating systems, high performance networks and distributed computing. He is presently working on the network-related issues of Operating Sytem Suport for High-Performance Parallel I/O Systems.

He holds a degree as Electrical Engineer (B.S.) and a `Mestre' (M.S.) degree in Computer Science, both from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil.
