(Now that I work for the University of Washington, my personal web site can be found at the above address. Marty Stepp)

My name is Marty Stepp. I attended the University of Arizona from 1997-2003, earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science. During my graduate studies at UA, I taught courses over four semesters and was a teaching assistant or section leader nine other times.

I spent the Aug 2003 - Sept 2004 working for Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, WA, as a software design engineer (developer) on their Office Business Intelligence team.

I worked as a full-time computer science lecturer at the University of Washington, Tacoma from Fall 2004 to Spring 2006.

I currently work as a full-time lecturer at the University of Washington. I have also published a CS1 Java textbook titled Building Java Programs: A Back to Basics Approach along with Stuart Reges.

I mostly do not maintain this web site, other than occasional minor updates aimed at boosting my Google Pagerank for the sites I do maintain. Visit my UW web site linked above for more current information.
