Biography

I am a CS Ph.D. student at the University of Arizona starting from Fall 2021. I have completed my B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2017 and have worked as a Software Engineer for a few years. Now I am back to academia again and am glad to be here.

Research Interests

I am primarily interested in theoretical computer science research. Especially, computational and formal analysis of algorithms and designed systems. My current research projects involve attempts at formal verification of machine learning systems with principal applications in the computer security domain.

What long-term project do you want to work on?

I would be glad to work on projects involving emerging approaches of computation that may include areas from the theory of computation, programming paradigms, mathematical abstractions over complex models, systems security, and so on.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I find it exciting that the works that researchers do eventually find interesting applications most of the time, if not at the domain intended. And the endeavor of gluing together different ideas from different minds in finding solutions to interesting problems seems quite fascinating to me.

What are your career goals

I would be really glad if I can get myself in a position that will allow me to do impactful works in the domain of privacy and security. As a Ph.D. student, I am planning to work my way through this journey. I feel that working as a researcher on interdisciplinary projects that deal with real-world problems would be really a rewarding experience.

Tell us something interesting about yourself!

Learning about foreign languages and cultures is something that I actively try to put effort into. Although I may not be an avid reader, I do sometimes try to read books on fantasy, especially magical realism, and science fiction. I like music maybe even more and had also taken multiple attempts to learn a musical instrument or two; which have been giving me unconditional joy. Going outdoors or just sitting and appreciating the moments as they pass by is an activity(!) that I adore dearly. And sometimes, that pleasure gets manifold when I am around friends.
