Biography

I am a first year PhD student researching parallel, distributed and high performance computing. I grew up in Arlington, Virginia. I went to the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities to earn my Bachelor's of Computer Engineering and Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering. My focus was in computer architecture, computer security and computational biology.

I am researching high performance computing and supercomputers. I am studying how to optimize the utilization of supercomputers.

What long-term project do you want to work on?

I would like to work on integrating quantum computing with our current technology.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I enjoy understanding and analyzing a system to optimize its performance. The best part about working in computer science is that there are so many areas to explore and apply to real world applications. 

What are your career goals?

I would like to work as a researcher in industry or at a National Lab.

I like to be outdoors as much as possible. I spend my free time climbing, hiking, camping and doing yoga. I am very excited to be living near mountains and plan to pick up mountain biking while I am here!
