Hoang Nguyen Hung Van

Henry Hoang

Biography

I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, usually called Saigon, the biggest city in the southern Vietnam. Being exposed early to Computer Science as a child with the first gaming computer from my father, I have been interested in the subject and dreamed to be a real Computer Scientist in the future. I did my undergraduate at Hanover College, a small town in the rural area in Indiana. I gained my Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics and other two natural science minor at Hanover College. I am interested in machine learning and human language processing and its application to the robotics . Speech-driven Robot was my senior thesis and I successfully defended at Hanover in May 2017.

Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Robotics. The application of Natural Language Processing to Question Answering and Economics, Business, and Finance.

What long-term project do you want to work on?

The application of Natural Language Processing to Question Answering and Artificial Intelligent Assistant

What do you enjoy most about your work?

The potential of improving the ability of computer/machine to assist human work daily.

What are your career goals

Make my childhood dream of becoming a real Computer Scientist

I love laughing and talking to people. Running and Swimming daily even at 0 Celsius degree are equally fun.
