Biography

I was born in Iran in a small city by the Caspian sea. My bachelor's and master's degree were in Industrial Engineering (IE) at Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran. Although in IE people are not much involved in computer programming, I took a different path and I focused on algorithm development from early undergrad times.

Research Interests

My research interest is mainly focused on Algorithm design. I work on geometrical and geo-spatial problems, and I'm interested in graphical models and data mining.

What long-term project do you want to work on?

I would like to obtain my PhD and I started to do research a year before officially joining the PhD of Computer Science.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I like making algorithms and I believe that each functionality and parameter of an algorithm should have a visualization representation. Eventually, each algorithm I design ends up with a software with GUI and maybe some OpenGL visualization and finally I build a CLI entry for mass testing if required.

What are your career goals?

I plan to work in industry and potentially work on a startup company.

Tell us something interesting about yourself!

One of my hobbies is to try free/open source game engines and GUI building APIs in different programming languages. I made some games before but mostly focused on the graphics and physics engine design from scratch rather than a true game story.
